What a Gamma export actually hands you
Gamma exports to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides on every plan, and it embeds your theme's heading and body fonts into the .pptx. That is more than a lot of AI deck tools bother with.
Gamma's own help documentation is candid about the edges: italic text is synthesised by slanting the regular weight rather than using a true italic font file, and gradient headings, frosted backgrounds and some advanced visual effects may fall back to simpler styling once the file leaves Gamma. If PowerPoint is where the deck is going to actually live and get edited, that fallback is work you do by hand afterwards.
Skiaw's export exists for the opposite reason: the pipeline lays the deck out in a browser, then reads geometry — not pixels — off the rendered page and writes it straight into PowerPoint shapes, so there is no intermediate format to fall back from.
